General comments
Bij een gegeneraliseerde zoster en/of bij immuungecompromitteerde patienten altijd plasma afnemen om de virusload van varicella zoster te volgen.
Bij deze patienten dient de behandeling gecontinueerd, ten minste tot de virusload negatief is.
Nervus ophthalmicus aangedaan: start bij voorkeur iv en overweeg toevoegen van aciclovir oogzalf 3% 5dd topicaal, gedurende 7 tot 10 dagen.
