Vanwege beperkte data over de (langere) toepassing van dalbavancine bij patiënten met een creatinineklaring <30 mL/min en bij patiënten met nierfunctievervangende therapie, worden deze patiënten in het UMCG vooralsnog uitgesloten van behandeling met dalbavancine.
