General comments
Voor Enterocytozoon bieneusi is het niet-geregistreerde fumagilin werkzaam, maar i.v.m. mogelijke trombopenie en andere toxiciteit alleen gebruiken bij dwingende klinische noodzaak, bijv. blijvende immunosuppressie met heftige diarree. Dosering fumagillin: 20 mg po 3 dd gedurende max. 7 dagen. Lanternier F,et al. Transpl Infect Dis. 2009;11:83-8.
