General comments
Bij positieve kweek: therapie aanpassen in overleg met arts-microbioloog of infectioloog.
Dexamethason stoppen indien andere verwekker dan pneumokok.
Als de liquorkweek na 48 uur negatief is (zonder antibiotica), therapie versmallen naar monotherapie amoxicilline, gedurende 14 dagen.
