General comments
Infectie is zelflimiterend in immuuncompetente patiënten, maar door mogelijk langdurig aanhouden van de klachten is behandeling geïndiceerd.
Bij zeer ernstig gestoorde afweer cotrimoxazol gedurende 21-28 dagen
Immuungecompromitteerden secundaire profylaxe van co-trimoxazol 3x per week 960 mg.
