General comments

  • Zwangerschap is een contra-indicatie voor doxycycline. Zie advies 'Bij zwangerschap'.
  • NHG richtlijn ‘Het SOA-consult 2022’
    • Bij vrouwen met chlamydia (niet bij zwangerschap) is doxycycline 2 dd 100 mg gedurende 7 dagen het middel van eerste keus vanwege de betere werkzaamheid bij rectale chlamydia en het vaak gelijktijdig voorkomen van urogenitale en rectale chlamydia bij vrouwen, onafhankelijk van anale seks.
  • Bij SOA partner(s) meebehandelen/waarschuwen, evt via GGD.
  • Verricht een ‘test of cure’ 4-6 weken na behandeling bij
    • zwangeren
    • aanhoudende of opnieuw klachten
    • re-expositie onbehandelde bron
    • behandeling met een 2e keus middel
