Bij een epididymitis waarschijnlijk op basis van een urineweginfectie.

Bij een epididymitis waarschijnlijk op basis van een SOA.

General comments

  • Indien gonorroe niet is uitgesloten:

- Poliklinisch: ceftriaxon i.m. 500mg eenmalig.

- Klinisch: ceftriaxon i.v. 2000mg eenmalig

Grote kans op simultane gonokokkeninfectie: purulente afscheiding uit de penis, contact met patiënt met bewezen gonorroe

  • Zet een urinekweek in op banale verwekkers én gonokokken i.v.m. resistentie. Neem tevens een PCR  op C. trachomatis en N. gonorrhoeae af.
  • Bij SOA partner(s) meebehandelen/waarschuwen, evt via GGD.
