Medication:

ceftriaxon iv 2000mg 2dd 1 day

followed by

ceftriaxon iv 2000mg 1dd
Remarks:
  • of ceftriaxon eenmalig opladen met 2000 mg, direct gevolgd door continue infusie 4000 mg/24u gedurende 24 uur. Vervolgens continue infusie 2000 mg/24u.
  • In geval van sepsis, zie sepsis - onbekende verwekker / onbekend focus.
  • Indien patiënt gekoloniseerd is met resistente micro-organismen (zoals MRSA, ESBL): overleg arts-microbioloog voor empirische therapie.

General comments

De therapie met ceftriaxon in de geadviseerde startdosering is gericht op de meest voorkomende verwekkers: S. aureus, streptokokken, Salmonella enterica en andere Gram negatieven.
